From early sketches to global mass production, MCi (Motion Controls international) globally designs and manufactures next level actuators for controlled motion. MCi has dedicated itself for over 60 years to the development and mass production of actuators. They generate reliable results through a combination of product know how, in house developed manufacturing + assembly processes and certified validation processes.
Project
Development of a powerfold actuator according to the latest required specifications. This is an actuator to which the door mirror is attached and it ensures that the mirror cover can rotate.
Responsibilities
During my permanent job as Product Designer, I worked within a team on implementating and testing mechanical improvements. The design was improved for mass production in collaboration with molding and assembly specialists. I made part of the CAD modeling and drawings of metal and plastic injection molded parts such as gears and housings.
